Biography

Coming from a athletic background I've been in fitness all my life! My journey started in Vancouver B. C. with Soccer, Judo, Boxing, Karate, Swimming, Running, Mountain biking, and pretty much any sport I could fit into my school studies.

My interest in Nutrition began when I became "lactose intolerant." I started studying natural ways of taking care of my digestive health and not too long after I was hired at local health food store "Vital Planet." (During this time I studied supplementation, nutrition, biochemistry and biology.) When working at Vital Planet I was introduced to RenewLife Canada. (RenewLife carries a great line of products to help people with digestive issues.) I worked for Renew Life Canada as a product demonstrator and consultant for close to four years.

After a few years of working with holistic studies, I started taking sports, rehabilitation, and fitness courses. I soon fell into Personal training and became a Personal trainer at Goodlife Fitness. I had developed a name for rehabilitation, weight-loss digestive care, TRX, Kettlebell boot camp and enjoyed helping people live free of pain and restriction. At Goodlife Fitness not only did I work with a high amount of client business and gain experience; my studies amped up to an even greater level! It didn't take long for me to climb the ladders and attain a Level 4 trainer status.

After spending 3 1/2 years with Goodlife Fitness, I decided it was time to grow and seek out other avenues, which led to me to "Verity" a beautiful all women's private membership club nestled in an old chocolate factory in Toronto. I spent 6 years working with some of the most prestigious, talented career women I know today and I'm grateful for the experience and connections I made there. I specialized in physical rehabilitation, weight-loss, digestive care, immune system repair, nutrition, fascial stretch therapy, (FST) TRX boot camp, and program periodization.

What is Periodization?

Periodization is one of the most important concepts in training and planning. This term originates from "period" which is a portion or division of time into smaller, easy-to-manage segments, called phases of training. It is important to switch training modalities every 6 to 8 weeks to prevent injury and plateuing.
